Kobe Bryants Wife Files for Divorce:

The wife of Lakers star Kobe Bryant filed for divorce Friday afternoon, TMZ reported.

Vanessa Bryant, 29, allegedly filed legal documents citing “irreconcilable differences,” according to the entertainment news program.

The sustainability of the Bryants’ relationship first came into question in 2003, when Kobe Bryant was accused of sexually assaulting a Colorado woman.

However, rumors waned after a public apology by the all-star basketball player.

“You’re my backbone,” Bryant said to his wife. “I’m so sorry I put you through this and having to put our family through this.”

The couple have two daughters – 8 and 5 years old respectively.
